Hey!! Thanks for checking out my blog spot on New Horizons Valentine’s Day Blog Tour!
I’m excited to be a part of it and can’t wait to show you what I’ve made!
In honor of Valentine’s Day and all things love… I’m going to gush on the Valencia.
I need to tell you about the goodies! There are several sponsors giving away great prizes in the tour this week, so don’t forget to enter the contest at the end of my blog post for your chance to win!
OK.. I have to admit, I’ve had the Valencia pattern printed and glued together. And even had my size traced and ready to go for a long time… but never made it until now. WHAAAT!! This is literally the trifecta of patterns; it includes three views and they’re all dramatically different. That’s what sets it apart! I made all three versions as written to show the versatility of the Valencia.
Here’s a graphic of the options available on the pattern: It’s a great selection to dress your wardrobe up or down in any season!
The first version I made is a V-Back with decorative cross straps. For this style you can choose from a straight hem, a band, or curved hem – like I did. The Mulberry Thermal I bought from LDG Textiles had the perfect drape for the casual sexy look I was going for.
The written instructions are super detailed and make sewing the V-Back a breeze, even if you have never done one before. How cute and fun are the optional back straps? Of course, the pattern includes several places to attach them to!
The next version I made was the Crossover Back. VAVAVOOM!!
I chose a drapey sweater knit from my stash that I knew would perfectly capture the swagger I desperately needed. The 3/4 sleeves and straight hem were the perfect addition to the swoopy back detail. I see a hot date night in my future!
My third and final Valencia has a plain back, color blocked front, curved hem and a pocket. This one will get a ton of wear as I’m mostly a jeans a t-shirt girl.
The relaxed fit is beyond comfortable and flattering, you really can’t go wrong with any of the choices!
After making three totally different looks
that I legit LOVE…
I’m kicking myself for not making the Valencia sooner!
