Sewing for Men

I don’t sew for my guys very often… but when Love Notions came out with the kids Navigator Half Zip Hoodie I immediately made my toddler several of them!

Shortly afterward, the Women’s version came out; which I promptly purchased (but have yet to actually make one in my busy holiday rush.)  If that wasn’t enough… all of my dreams came true because they just released the Men’s Version – The North Star and it’s nothing short of spectacular!  My teenager was quite pleased with the one I made him -from Hobby Lobby Fleece – during testing and has worn it several times already!

The hood construction is PERFECTION!  It has a few extra steps to included neck binding and it is beyond worth the effort.  The binding hides the neck seam and adds a beautiful finish, this is especially eye-catching when using contrasting fabric!  My boys love hoods on everything but these patterns also offer a collar option as well.  On the women’s version you can omit the bottom band altogether for a more relaxed look with the curved hem.

In short, you need these patterns.  They are without a doubt the essential pull-over pattern that is sure to please EVERYONE in your family!
